Discovering what they told you was wrong.
It's easy to pick up the wrong ideas about life and relationships. Our culture tells us out there is "the one" - the person who will complete us. For many, that leads to inevitable disappointment.

Letting Go of Emotional Baggage
The pain we carry from the past weighs us down. So, how can we let go and begin to flourish? I've listened to some people who've been in very dark places and found a way to come out the other side.

Introducing our Substack
Craig has extended the work of the last three podcast series and created a new blog for people looking for guidance on navigating life in a complex world - full of great wisdom and help to support positive mental health.
Meet your Host
During a successful career that has included editing the BBC's flagship news programmes and six years as the Director of Politics and Communications at No10 Downing St, Craig began to wonder if he was going about life in the right way. He thought he'd followed all the rules, but life felt more of a grind than a gift.
Craig realised millions of people felt the same way - but didn't feel able to talk openly about it. So he decided to read all he could on wisdom. Some of it was snake oil, some of it was revelatory. He wanted to pass on a lot of what he'd discovered - and came up with the idea for Desperately Seeking Wisdom, a podcast about people who have faced major challenges in life and learned some incredible lessons that could benefit everyone.
